São Martinho's Prevention Line aims at avoiding the disintegration of the family unit, keeping children and adolescents in their homes, far from the false liberty they imagine they may find on the streets. The Prevention Line's mission and constant concern is to keep them out of reach of criminality and drugs, offering vocational courses and the real possibility of joining the formal job market. The training and placing of young people in social risk into the job market is the most effective way of keeping in reach of family contact and making real for them the possibility of dignified lives.
